Take advantage of Sparrow’s Multitouch gestures
Activating the minimal mode:
Go into Sparrow’s Preferences > Advanced, and tick the ‘Hide Message preview’ box.

To open the Message Panel, simply press ⟶ to open and ⟵ to close it.
No need to remember long shortcut ⇧+⌘+T.
In Sparrow Advanced Preferences, you can customize how Sparrow behaves in a lot of way:

QuickLook on attachments
You can preview any attachments by selecting it and pressing ‘Space’.
Sparrow allows you to do this while reading your mail and also while composing it. Attach any file in a new mail, select the attachment and press ‘Space’ to quickly verify this is the document you wanted to send.
Affecting labels
Affecting labels to your mail to keep a clean Inbox is easy. Right-click the mail you want to labelize and select the ‘label’ section. The list of your existing labels will be displayed. Clicking a label in the list will affect it to the mail.
Do the same to ‘Archive and Label’ a mail.
You can also affect a label with ⌘-L
or Archive and Label with ⇧-⌘-L
Using the Conversation View
To Open the Conversation View, jus click the bottom-right corner icon in Sparrow’s window. The right pane will open allowing you to see your mails as conversations.
You can also open/close the Conversation View with ⇧-⌘-T
Reply from the ToolBar
Sparrow’s Toolbar allows you to make all kind or reply and to forward mails.
To Forward or Reply All, just perform a long click on the Reply icon. A contextual menu will let you ‘Forward’ or ‘Reply All’ the selected mail.
To Reply All, you can also ⇧-⌘-R
To forward a mail, you can ⇧-⌘-F
Reply/Reply All toggle
Sparrow makes it simple to toggle between Reply/Reply All. Right within the compose window, you can change your mind and include other recipients by clicking the icon at the far right of the ‘To’ field.

Show/Hide Cc & Bcc fields
Click the grey triangle on the left of the ‘To’ field to toggle the Cc/Bcc fields. Sparrow will remember your choice and will keep the fields hidden or shown depending on what you chose.
Setting up an alias - Send as…
Sparrow lets you send mail from your main mail account with other mail addresses.
To set up an Alias in Sparrow:
You can set an alias as the default mail for your main account by clicking the ‘Make default’ button.
Creating Labels
Open Sparrow’s Preferences via the Sparrow Menu (or ⌘-,) and select the Labels section. Just click the ‘+’ bottom-left corner button and name your new label. You can assign any color you want to your label by clicking the bottom-right corner button.
