In Sparrow 1.2.1, the sorting bar has been hidden by default. You can activate it through Sparrow Advanced Preferences as described above.
The Sorting bar allows you to easily toggle between your unread mails and your inbox.
If you have a Gmail account with Priority Inbox activated, it will also allow you to view your Priority mails only.
